    Maple Pet Urn Finish Questions

We had to put my Persian to sleep on Friday.

I have a piece of maple to make an urn for her. It will be a simple design, I am stuck on the finish. I would prefer to keep the color close to the natural wood color. I am ok with a glossy or matte finish either way. Searching different places seems to come up with tung oil or laquer. Any Suggestions? And I will post build pics.

Very sorry to hear about your cat, Bobby. If you don't want to darken the wood at all, a waterbased poly like Polycrylic would also work.
