The first pen blank swap is almost finished, but we have had a couple of requests to join up. I'd just as soon start a second swap which will start with some 'seed' blanks from the first box once it makes it here to my house.

I'm also going to up the ante just a bit. To join in on this round, you have to Put in at least One Pen or Pen-style (letter opener, flashlight, or similar item) project. You may select from those in the box, but if you take one out, you must add one of your own (A finished pen or project) to the mix.

For all material added, please put your name and the particulars (species, pen kit name, material used etc...) on a note with the piece.

If you're interested, please post here.

I'll play.
For a guy who is trying to get away from pens and go to larger stuff, I'm about ten 'must do' pens behind now. Sure glad I have a powerful EVS lathe with a 43" bed.

Whatcha griping about? With a 43" bed you should be able to turn 4 or 5 pens at once. :p

Hi Y'all
just to say I'm a newbie here.
Bought a Craftsman Lathe @ a yard sale last year for 10 Bucks !
(well, I have "cut" wood now in then for 30 years)
but getting this Lathe , I started making Pens and stuff !
I'm always looking for more ideas on different designs for each pen.
If you have some different designs (send photo's).

I'm trying my hand on a Snakeskin pen. (Im kinda hessitant)
but anyhow, can't wait for my turn !
(I got some neet stuff to swap too ) AL

Is the order of sign up going to be the distribution order??

Jonathan,
I'll adjust it to keep each 'leg' reasonable. so, probably not.

Allen,
Keep in mind we're still waiting on the first box to reach me, but you're 'First' on the list...

You can keep me on the list as well. I will cook up some different castings.

Alan

Alan, you've got some time, the first box still has three stops, and Chris is on his honey-do training mission. to boot... not to mention customs going in and back out of Canada.

Last box was lots of fun.... glombed some good stuff out of the box... Like Frank I'm trying to phase out pens and get on to bigger turnings, but last weekend at a local market out of 22 items sold, 13 were pens... guess I'll stay in for a while longer.

Put me on the list.
