Every time I've burnished out a milk paint finish before oiling, its struck me that it smells just like cold McDonalds french fries. Kinda makes me wonder what they put in their frying medium :eek:

BTW, I think Mickie D's uses (or used to use) beef tallow as part of their oil mix. You could be on to something.

How about a pic of your milk paint project? I think it gives a really cool look!
 
Hi Jesse,

Not much to look at yet, just a faceframe on a cabinet. I've got the doors built, but I'm waiting for hinges and drawer guides. I'll post a picture when it's a bit further along.
