How to clean parallel clamps

If it's old enough, sometimes a hammer works to knock it off. Like Glenn, I did it once, and now I use wax paper between the clamp and the workpiece if there's a chance glue will drip on the clamp.

Parrallel clamps are Machinists tools so I guess you are talking about Hand Screw Clamps... (Wood clamps with two concentric screws) Most are already treated with either oil or finish. so you should be able to chip the glue off with a sharp chisel , then give them a coat of Paste wax to prevent future sticking.

Oh for the shame of it... Parallel Clamps, See I are too poor to own them from Bessey... but the same comment is true, those PVC heads are easy to clean with a chisel and Vinegar is a solvent for most glues. PS Vaughn, I was in the garage and saw the chunk of Ambrosia Maple I promised (a year ago) I will wrap and send ASAP...
