    Signature lines

    Hi gang,

I was watching our local T-V news this evening (KHON 2 in Honolulu @6:00 PM) and the anchorman (Joe Moore) closed the news broadcast with the following,

"And finally, You should learn from the mistakes of others. You can't possibly live long enough to make them all yourself."

I thought that was kind of nice.

Anyone else heard their "signature line" on t-v?

Yup, I think that is where I stole it from.

An anchorman in NY (ABC I think) back in the 60's - I think his name was Roger Grimsby (sp) - used to open his broadcast with, "I'm Roger Grimsby, hear now the news." Don't know why that has stuck with me all these years.
