I had to make a trip to the local woodworkers store and while I was there I saw these keychain/whistle kits that I thought would make a nice little "extra" to give to the guy who ordered these

From the left Bocote, Zebrawood and Birdseye Maple. Sanded to 12000 grit and wax finished. As the title says, they are quick and easy to do.

I've done a few of those myself, Steve. On my first one, I didn't have the bushings set up right, so it came out way off-center.

So you're right about the 'quick' part, but it's only 'easy' if you've got a clue (which I didn't have that particular day.)
