    Book shelf

I am starting to build a book case for a customer. They want it painted,so am useing pine and a hardwood plywood. It is not plys under the venier...it's solid wood. Have not used this type befor but thought it would be good for the sides of the case and also the shelves. Have any of you used this type of sheet stock before? Pros and Cons of it would be helpfull.

Larry, I found it at HD $45.00 per sheet. I was hoping with the fact that they wanted it painted, I may get by without banding the shelf edges? Have not used it before. Hoping there will be no voids. We will soon find out after cutting into it. Thanks for the info.
