    What's this wood?

I got this blank out of the pen swap box that went around... I don't know what the wood is... whoever put it in the box wrote on the blank in green ink, but evidently there was dampness in the box from green wood or something and the ink faded and ran to the point it was no longer legible.

This is a beautiful piece of wood... so whoever put it in the box, let me know what it is...

My parents taught me to respect my elders, but it's getting harder and harder to find any.

I generally only use black sharpies. Sorry can't help with the ID, but you sure turned a wonderful pen from that piece of wood!!!

God and family, the rest is icing on the cake. I'm so far behind, I think I'm in first place!
