Delta is going after the turners market

I don't know how new the Delta 46-460 midi lathe is on the market but it only recently came to my attention.
Like the new mini, it has some well thought out features and the price is certainly affordable for many.
Methinks Jet may tumble from it's Kings throne in the mini/midi kingdom and Grizzly will have to do some real promo work or Delta will take over the market in this size range of spinner tools.

Yeppers, that one has been getting good reviews. The 5-speed version has also caught a lot of attention.

Until you need customer service. Then you box it up and send it to somebody. First time I ever paid $80 to get rid of junk.

Frank I have turned on the 46-460. It is a sweet lathe with some really nice features. If it had been out when I bought my Jet 1220 I would have bought it instead.

When I had trouble with my Jet it was either pay $95 to ship it to be fixed or fix it myself. So IMHO I don't see any difference in owning the Jet or the Delta.

Yep, customer service is a big part of what one buys with a new item.
My having relatively close access to a Grizzly store is a very big part of my decision making process when I'm looking for something new.
