hello folks here are some more box's from the last few shed days
tulipwood (brazilian)
first time i'd ever used this wood and it wont be the last a real pleasure to work with.
2 3/4"" high by 1 3/4" wide
Ziracote
another first for me- very dry and dusty slightly brittle timber and a pain to try and photograph being shiny black!!!
3" high by 1 3/4" wide
cocobolo with boxwood threaded inserts
3 1/2" long by 1 3/4" wide
another Asian stripe ebony box with threaded boxwood inserts and carved ends
6" long by 2" wide
and finally a new batch of cococolo i've just bought with very unusual figureing
here it is before roughing
and now i've roughed it out
there are distinct zonal areas of figure its stunning stuff
