hello folks here are some more box's from the last few shed days

tulipwood (brazilian)
first time i'd ever used this wood and it wont be the last a real pleasure to work with.

another first for me- very dry and dusty slightly brittle timber and a pain to try and photograph being shiny black!!!

there are distinct zonal areas of figure :D its stunning stuff :D
 
wow some sharp stuff, george. now for the million dollar question. when yu part the two pieces and get the threaded parts in..can yu get a fine enough seperation cut to have it come together and have the grain line up pretty close..in these i see yu have intenionally left a gap for these..
 
thanks Larry- yep i could if i wanted but i prefer the gap- i only part through with a 1/16" tool so it normally doesnt cause any issue's
