    This one is wood

this was a 2 hour project I decided to do today. This little 9"x9" frame is about 200 years old. It's been sitting in my shop for 13 years and today was the day for cleaning it.
All wood hand carved and gilded with a red bowl.

    This is not clean
    now it's clean
    little difference A

Only two hours to get rid of all that dirt? That I would call fast!

Looks great Dave, do you pretend to gild it over again or leave it as it is now, it looks to me that the gold leaf is true gold and well applied, and that helped in the cleaning for sure.
    Best regards,

I think it is 23.5 ct. gold so yea that helps in the cleaning process greatly. The value is retained by cleaning and getting it back to the original.
    Thanks Toni
