    They don't show up at all on my computer when I'm using Firefox. That's because I'm running Adblock, which renders most advertising (i.e., Smiley Central) invisible. They do show up under IE without Adblock, though.

    Adblock is a great Firefox add-on if you visit sites that have advertising you don't want to see.

    And Smiley Central? I'd suggest doing some research into the software before adding any of their stuff to your computer. It's not that the software is adware (although it does have some shared traits), but it does add overhead and slow down your computer.
