Wow, that's gorgeous, Chas. I'm sure the arboretum looks great year-round, but the fall colors are spectacular.

Yes there is always something different to see Vaughn, although my home is surrounded by woodland the arboretum is about 15 min drive from my home and is a favourite place for a relaxing walk on flatter ground, usually on the less formal and not so well trodden trails, it covers about 600 acres.

    Beautiful and great photography.
And, it looks like you had some sunshine.
I envy you. If we ever get sunshine I'm liable to convert from my present, conventional religion to be a sun worshiper.
Your pictures are uplifting to see.

    Chas,
Beautiful photos... first thought when I started looking at them was to send along some form my area... fall color has been pretty spectacular here as well. I'm at the edge of the Cherokee National Forest and as you go up into the mountains the leaves have a wide variety of colors.... Up the Cherohala Skyway that runs over the mountain into North Caroline on the Tennessee side the colors a fantastic... you cross the state line into NC, immediately the color disappears and the leaves are just brown... Think they got hit with colder temps over there than we had on our side... plus the stateline is at 5000+ feet and the colors in TN are somewhat lower than that.
I've only been to the UK once, back in 1981, I attended a PanAm sales siminar and stayed at their hotel.. don't remember the name, but was just off Hyde Park and in June... was a beautiful experience. I think I walked 40 miles around the London area...

A few more, this time from over 300 snaps that a weekend house guest family took on the same Visit.

I have just got back from a 90 mile round trip up the old roman road called the Foss Way, immediately we left home and then all along the way we were treated to the sight of the Beech trees that abound in the Cotswolds all in their various shades of Brown and Gold. Some consolation for the weird weather patterns we have experienced no doubt.
