    Unfortunatly!!

the stressfull times and some of us with close connections to a few of the items posted recently, have caused some heated words and banter that this forum wasnt set up to tolerate.. yes we all have times when we need to vent but this forum isnt the place for it according to the rules that you the forum members have agreed to. we all sometimes tread on the thin line to voice our opinions at times, and we all need to try and avoid going there..we need to look at what we are about to post and think if its really worth it. do you want to make another member upset? cause of what yu or they may take from these words that are about to be posted.. we are here to be a family oriented forum that means (get along with each other) not pick fights or criticize some one or there beliefs. thanks for listening, and i hope we can continue on from here in a friendly family manner..

    Thank you Larry.

I apologize to one and all for anything I did or posted that may have caused someone to be upset, that was not my intent.

This place is very important to me, and special, and so are all of you.

    Respectfully

    Stu

I understand that we all agreed to the coc when we signed up with this forum and we should abide by it. What I don't understand is why some people can start talking politics on an unpolitical post, get the original post deleted, and the trouble makers get a pass.

An apology means very little to me when I know that person would do the same thing again without hesitation.

"If" this is directed at me, David, I'd expect you to have the stones to man up and do so directly.

    Nancy, Dave

When this forum started we wanted it to be a friendly place without the discorse other forum have turned into. Thats why the CoC was written.

This is the Code of Conduct ("CoC") we expect all members to follow:

    • Verifiable e-mail addresses are required for registration. In an effort to prevent drive-by trolling, no Hotmail, Yahoo, MSN or Gmail accounts are accepted without permission. You are welcome to join if you have no other e-mail address available, but we'd like to get to know you a bit first. Please contact the Webmaster if you have no other address available.
    • Real first and last names are required. Folks tend to be more civil when they use their real name.
    • No cursing, including use of substitute characters as all or part of a word instead of cursing.
    • No posting of porn, nudity or suggestive pictures.
    • No politics, no religion. If you even think it might be considered political or religious, it is. Please don’t post it.
    • Don’t post anything that would not be considered “family friendly”.
    • No commercial ads.
    • No bashing other forums or other members.
    • If you work for a company or an industry that provides products or services for woodworking, you must state that in your user profile, and you must put a note or signature line on your posts so other people know your affiliation.
You may not consider it political but it was controlversal enough that it offended many.
This is a woodworking forum so we need to keep it that way. If you want to have these kinds of discussion, why don't you take it to fox new or one of the other program where those type of posts are welcome.

just to add to what`s been said......

anybody who believes that the coc is not the type of document best used to govern this forum is able and encouraged to draft changes and put them up for discussion........if there`s enough interest we`ll hold a vote...(ya did register to vote right?)
this place is designed to be flexable but it does require the majority to agree on changes.

Nancy if it offends any of the memebers and causes discourse it is definitly family unfriendly.
