    spalted pecan box

    here's a box i made today. It's 4x 3 1/2 with a 2 3/4 final.the final and base are ebony. couldn't get a good pic for some reason but here's a pic any way.

    All these lathe things just amaze me as to how nice they look. I hope to do a pen some day..That is beautiful.

    thanks. Gary do what i do, just keep turning junk till something looks good. then do it again. I don't think you will fall in to the vortex.

    thanks. I'm working on another one that i used ink to ebonize some maple for the foot and a lip. if i can get the lid right i'll post a pic. thanks for tip on the ink.

    nice box steve,, and wont be long and your wifes desk is gonna need to be extended i bet that spalted pecan box and the spalted desk go well together,,

    Your right she all ready got it so full that she is talking about a table, and i've all ready built her a book shelf.
    that spalted pecan looks almost as good as that spalted maple from michigan she has on her desk.
