None of these are that good but they are from our trip yesterday. We put in at Guntersville dam. There were at least 7 flood gates open and quite strong current. Probably 3-4 mph. Enough that I had to really work to make any progress up stream! We paddled down to Huntsville along a very deserted section or the river.

Seems quite an exciting excursion, that's a darn long barge Jeff!

With all those sunk trees didn't you fear of a hidden branch ripping the skin of your kayak? I see that your friend has a plastic one.
 
You must have a nice little waterproof case for the cameras? Cool videos. I know those barges can kick out a heck of a wake!
 
Nice trip Jeff!

You should come to Idaho. Rennie and I can find a river or two that will make you gasp a little.....the Lochsa, the Salmon and the Payette comes to mind.
