OK, you guys are too kind. Here's a little strike I made from the same cherry as the door. The magnet is inset into the door to act as a catch. The screwhead allows adjustment of the door stopping point:

Kind of an overall shot:
The whimsical door pull has a story. LOML's daughter dearly loves horses but doesn't own one. She cares for a pair in exchange for riding time:

The door pull actually matches the carcass better than the last two pics show. Looking at it through the camera's eye, I am thinking cherry might have been better for the back-slats. They don't really show much without close inspection so I guess I'll let it go.
