    Bois d'Arc bowl

I sure do enjoy turning this wood. It has a reputation for dulling chainsaw chains, but it sure cuts easy and clean on the lathe. Just a plain little bowl with a round bottom, but sure is some pretty wood.

Very nice, Mark. You're right about working with Bois d'Arc...it cuts well with sharp tools. I'll beat you up with dull ones, though, huh?

Bob... lots of folks call it Osage (as I do most of the time). I even hear some folks around here call it Hedge Apple, because of the green "apples" that it produces.

Pretty bowl. Simple lines and pretty wood. Mark is right. My dad always called it hedge apple and my granddad called it Osage Orange.
