    end grain boards

In my area i have a difficult time finding 5/4, 6/4 or thicker exotic stock, and when I do the bf cost is prohibited and/or the choices are extremely limited.

Using 4/4 stock limits you to the patterns that you can create. So my question is what if or can you laminate 4/4 stock together to create thicker stock without running into problems when making end grain cutting boards.

You can definitely do that... the laminated pieces will move approximately like similar unlaminated pieces... and probably a little less, if care is taken to make up pieces with alternate growth ring direction.
