i knew i had to do this sooner or later, so i gritted my teeth, set my sights, and stepped forward to my lathe. i had to make 2 pens, 2 pencils, and 2 fountain pens as samples for the upcoming craft show, and i saved doing them for last. it will be a while before i venture to the spinny world again, i had forgotten how much energy that lathe sucks out of me... oh well, here are the end results...

thanks guys! i've been turning for roughly several years now, but haven't done so in a while. this was my first venture in the no mandrel pen turning, and it seems to work pretty good. i figure i'm strong enough to do both don, the logical flat side, and the spinny side...:rofl::rofl:
