yeeHAA! New lathe ETA

Carol,

With the lathe, you can turn the two wheels on the organ rewind mechanism, the friction wheel, idler wheel, drive wheel on the take up spool, the end caps on the take up spool, the crank handle and the rewind handle. You can FINELY get to that organ!:rofl:

Great thought, Chuck. I'm still working on the drawings! But lately getting ready for Christmas services has taken up a bunch of my time. Once Sunday's service is off the printer, I can get shack ready for the new lathe.

But you are right. If its round, it will be off the lathe!

We don't seem to hear much from you lately, once you get that lathe, be careful, prioritize, that sermon comes first! Congrats, now I will know why you aren't online, your turning!!!!:thumb:

Congratulations... you made a good choice..

Hopefully you'll have two strong men and a boy to help you put it together... I did my 1442 by myself and there aren't many lightweight parts to it. the 1642 is a little bigger.

Enjoy and looking forward to picts.
