Hi all,

I just keep forgetting to stumble by, gotta stick the url

in the right tool bar.

Any way this is that elk in the middle of the 30 foot birds eye maple

and mahogany bar top.

Should be finished any day now.

Takes forever to flatten 30 feet.

Be back when its done.

Hey Vaughn,

Bubinga ,birds eye and who the heck knows.

I buy boxs of cutoffs on that auction site.

The bubinga, birdseye and walnut we stock in excess but the light stuff that looks

like sand stone......orphan at the bottom of the box.

Hey your avatar looks good.

Brief excuse fellas,

You might think we work really, really slow.

The truth of the matter....we do.

Although we finally got ...are you ready for why my head will

sometimes spontaneously combust?

The rough electrical inspection for under the bar.

Three and a half months and 5 not ready for inspection stickers.

Baby Cheeses and rice, I was gonna bag and tag somebody.

That is not something you going to see everyday, heck a couple times a lifetime would be a lot!

Super nice stuff, you guys may not be speedy, but your work should last an awful long time!

Cheers!

Per,
Looks very cool. You must let us know where the bar is located so if we pass by we can see it in person. Inspections definitely cause massive grief!

Fantastic!

Thanks for the post, you are really lucky to have Bob working alongside you. I never had that experience with my Dad.

Come by more often!

Thanks Jay,

No ,my Father and I do not work well in the same location.

Well maybe for about ten minutes, then he has to go sit down.

Nope, He can't hear the fire engine behind the car, the church bells down the street, the telephone ring. But the Rolling Stones and AC/DC he hears fine enough to moan about. Matter of fact when you whisper "Get in the truck and
go home" His eyes start to glow like tail lights.

Go figure.

Now the whole top is on as of today, next is the Bar and drink rail.

Pictures Thursday. (maybe)

One other note Jay, Bar tops are a 2 man Job.

Larry,

The elk will be filled with MAS epoxy.

We were gonna use West systems, they advised us against it.

As it yellows too much. MAS is clear.

We don't want those fellas spillin their gin and Geritol.

And here is the deal with the elk's club's.

They are a charitable non profit deal.

So we do our part and don't killem with NYC or Morris county prices..

With the understanding when we finish we finish.

Also we get complete artistic license.

An Folks, The Irony?

I don't Drink.
