Here is one of two that I made, this one is mine and the other one I made was a Christmas present for my father in law. The other is basically the same except that the tote is all walnut on his, and the frog is slightly different.

i would say you know your way around a welding shop and machine shop real well!! thats one fine scrapper plane you made, i think you could sell those pretty easily...:thumb::thumb:

I taught myself to weld a few years ago when building this, I never used anything in a machine shop, but I would like to. I suppose I could sell them but at the price I would have to charge to make anything you could just buy one from Lie-Nielsen.

The scraper plane look great, Dave. I'd love to have the tools and skills to be able to fabricate something like that.
 
Nice job on the planes.

Funny about the welding. I tried it for the first time yesterday. Sure looks easier than it is. After a couple hours, I gave in and had the father in law finish it. Looks like bubble gum welds.
