I didn't look at everyone and initially didn't see what you have, but they have a vararity of hinges.

My parents taught me to respect my elders, but it's getting harder and harder to find any.
If you go looking for trouble, it will usually find you.

Most of the WWing supply stores (sites) list a "Cedar chest" hinge, or Toy box safety hinge

    Rockler has them http://www.rockler.com/product.cfm?p...=chest%20hinge

    So does WoodCraft http://www.woodcraft.com/Product/200...d-Support.aspx

I found these http://www.hardwaresource.com/index....uct_list&c=852 for half the price of Rockler & WoodCraft, although never ordered from them...

when I get out, this will be my project while I continue to redo my front room of my house. There are no time limits for it, whenever I get it done.(need warmer weather)
The dimensions of this makeup vanity are really horrible, since it has to be less than 24 inches wide and I was asked to keep the height low. Less than 28 inches leaves little room for leg space and storage.
Fold down top with mirror attached underneath, and a small flourescent light under the mirror.
Most likely solid maple trim, with plywood for the case and top, solid maple legs.Might use oak.
