I have a small Ryobi 9" band saw that I started using for my pen making about 7 or 8 years ago... since I got the Delta 14", I don't use it much anymore, except to cut acrylics and antler, so I don't ruin the blade on the big saw.... today was the first time I've used it in several months, and it normally sits in the cabinet under my chop saw... I turned it own and you never heard such a rattle as that thing made... normally it's very quiet and smooth running... I stopped it and opened it up... the chipmonks found another place for their nuts....
They added a little corn for variety.

I hate to be the bearer of bad tidings, but rats and mice will follow soon. I would be getting some big rat sticky traps if nothing else, or out of harm's way for a pet, a small bowl of antifreeze. Your troubles will soon be over, but the holes they have created to get in will remain and must be found and plugged.
