    MS Word Help

Somehow I set a default in MS word so that when I open a new doc it has 2 columns. How do I get the default back to a standard doc without columns?

Depending on your version: I have Office 2007. Page Layout and then Columns. Select One.

Sounds like you might be in "Reading Layout". Trying going up to the menu and selecting "View" and then "Normal".

Carol, that fixes it for each word doc I start, but I want each new doc have a default start with no columns.

I figured it out...After I reset the doc to one column, I went to page setup and clicked on the default button...problem solved.

    Now back to woodworking....
