    Segmented Bowl

Done just before Christmas; this one LOML wanted to keep. Birch and Walnut with vertical pieces of Padauk in the feature ring.

Comments, suggestions and criticisms are welcome.
    Thanks for looking.

Has anyone ever done a how-to on how to glue up a segmented bowl like these?
I for one would be interested in seeing how it's done!

My favorite is a DVD by Curt Theobald in which he gives very good detail on how to do it. It's the best I've seen and I've looked at many others. I rented the DVD from SmartFlix. If you'd rather purchase it you can get it from Curt's website:

    http://www.curttheobald.com/store.html

It may be available elsewhere as well.

There are many others available on the internet, a lot of free information. Some of these include:

    http://www.veddermountainhardwoods.c...g-overview.pdf

    http://woodtreks.com/how-to-glue-up-...ing-pieces/38/

These are just a few. You'll find many more if you wish to look for them. Have fun.

I can see why the wife kept that one Gord. Really well done.
