    Pendant question

I have ordered my backer plate to join "pendantmania". One question. How thick are you making them. I am trying to determine what pieces in my "scrap" pile are suitable.

Gary my pendants measure about 3/8" to 1/4" thick and from 1 5/8" to 2" across. The earrings I am doing are about 1/8" thick and 1/2" across.

Mine are about 1/8" to 3/8" and from 1.5" to 4" and have a convex shape. One thing my wife noticed is that if you use multiple strands of anything thru the hole, make sure to plan your spacing and size accordingly. I had a couple that would have been cool with 3-4 strands thru it, but the hole was a bit small...oops...learning curve.

    Unhappy backer plate

I've been searching all the web sites and links and cannot locate where to order a backer plate kit.
Can you help an old helpless turner?

    Thanks,

    Angelo
