Can't match Roberts color or segments. But heres a 6 X 3 bowl that I have had laying around with some other projects and trying to get cleaned up. Antique oil but not yet buffed. Hope you like.

Nice job, Dennis. I'm usually not really a fan of straight, sharp lines on turned bowls, but for some reason this one works for me. :thumb:

The wood and finish is what makes the Pot, How many ways can you make a short fat bowl. I like the flat effect, especially if it brings out the wood figuring, (often a curves surface will hide the figuring) Perhaps if you had added some other detail so that it doesn't look like you had to hide a gouge cut or gave up on trying to roundover. Simplistic is nice but sometimes simplistic it just too simple. Two questions are, what were you trying to achieve with the design and Did you achieve it?

Thanks for posting another way to make a short fat bowl with holes in the lid.

PS... The finish is great.
