They were a great novelty, made my own beef patties then layed out the bacon as was shown, actually very easy, inserted the wieners cut in half, realize each one takes 3

Covered the patty with cheese before wrapping the whole thing up.

Placed on tray and in the oven at 400 degrees as was said in the blog. Took much longer to cook than the stated 25 to 30 minutes. Dont know how long cause we I ended up putting the broiler on to get the bacon to crisp up before the patty dried out.

They were great but i was disappointed at the cheese totally oozing out.

Maybe if i had not put the broiler on things would have been different.

Takes a min of 6 pieces of bacon per turtle. First one i tried 10 strips but that was way too big.

Good bit of fun but way tooo big to put on a burger bun and eat so we cut in half and shared.

By the way you need to put tin foil on the legs etc to proctect while cooking.

    Give em a try Brent.

Mayb e it would have been differant if the cheese was put inside the patteys reather then on top. I think I'd use blue cheese.

They look tasty! But they look like they belong in a Louisiana cuisine.
