    Ariana's plate

Well this is the the plate that I turned for my niece. She drew me a nice pic & to say thank you I made this plate & had the pic she drew laser engraved in it for her. It's made from Maple & just 3 coats of BLO to deepen the color a tad.

Not bad for $20 for engraving

Mods, I forgot how to add pics so please adjust it if you have to.

I just got it back from the engraver. http://www.kallenshaanwoods.com/servlet/StoreFront Ken does awesome work he's also a member of both IAP & TPS, he's mostly a pen turner. I'll be mailing it to her tomorrow.

Ariana is only 14 yrs old & never had a lesson she's an amazing natural artist. Her pic makes the plate come alive she deserves all of the credit.

I think this might be my favorite of all the pieces you've turned, Chuck. Without the laser work, it looks superb. The engraving is icing on the cake, and I'm betting our niece will love it.

She sure is a very good artist. Her uncle is pretty good too. Your combined talent has produced a great piece.
