I was at an estate sale this morning, and came across this really ugly drawknife that called out to me. The steel looked great, and the bevel and back looked like they were in pretty good shape. Apart from the handles, which were painted green, it was all, and I mean all, except the bevel and back, painted an awful mustard color, and I don't mean like a Powermatic. I couldn't tell that it was made by the fellow, until I got it home and started to clean it up. It turns out it was made from an old file. And well made at that. I've done some honing on it, and here's how it works. I think this is going to be a friend for a long time...
