    OT - Memorial Day USA

Just a little time to reflect on what our veterans have given us.
I did not write this but I agree.

    Veterans

It is the Veteran, not the preacher,
who has given us freedom of religion.
It is the Veteran, not the reporter,
who has given us freedom of the press.
It is the Veteran, not the poet,
who has given us freedom of speech.
It is the Veteran, not the social organizer,
who has given us freedom to assemble.
It is the Veteran, not the lawyer,
who has given us the right to a fair trial.
It is the Veteran, not the politician,
Who has given us the right to vote.

For those veterans who've passed onů
Grant them eternal rest and let perpetual light shine upon them.

I dream a lot. I do more painting when I'm not painting. It's in the subconscious.

I covered the local Memorial Day parade and Memorial service for the local paper today. It was a very sombering yet proud service. I admire everyone who has served.

    Thank you all!
