    Where We're From

I'm stealing this idea directly from Ron Sardo, a member here and the man behind the curtain at the Woodturner's Resource forums.

I thought I'd show you all how Family Woodworking really is a global community. These are all the countries that show up in a list of unique site visitors for May 2010, in order of prevalence. I'd guess the majority of these visitors are not members, and it's likely some percentage of them are web robots scanning pages for search engines like Google. Pretty cool to see how far our reach is. Sorry for the poor formatting. The forum software doesn't like to display tables.

A couple observations: Looking at the Japanese numbers compared to the ones from Spain, I'd say Stu and Alex are beating Toni in the web traffic category. Jozsef seems to be doing a good job of representing Hungary, though

I'd also say you guys in Bermuda, Albania, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Sri Lanka need to step it up a bit.

I'm surprised there is no Antarctica, I mean, there is not much else to do down there right

I was wondering about that one too, but technically, is Antarctica a country? Perhaps their Internet connection is via satellite, and in that case, who knows what country it might be shown as.

When I used to be on a Satellite connection, all of the 'personalized' adverts that would show up thought I was from Maryland, where their Network Operations Center was located.
