    Spalted Ash Salad Bowl

Turned for some folks here in town - they're picking it up this week. It ended up 13" wide and 4-1/2" tall. Mahoney's Oil finish.

Another wonderful bowl Mark! The rim looks like it woudl be perfect for hooking a thumb around to carry a BIG salad to the talbe. I'm sure they will love it.

Very nice Mark, I'm not a big fan of turned Ash, but that spalted Ash is certainly nice!

Well done! I'm no turner but I can appreciate beauty when I see it.
    Best regards,

Man, that's a pretty piece of spalted ash. (The bowl's no slouch, either, of course.) How easy or difficult it is to get ash to spalt?

Nothing to it, Vaughn. I didn't do anything with this other than let it sit outside a while.
