What do you think about this? Should solve the problem with sliders and miter saw stations.

The Bosch looks good. I'd like to see how those hinges wear, over time, though.
After 25 years of workhorse duty, the armature on my Hitachi CF8B finally started throwing some sparks, so it was time for a new one (I went thru three sets of motor brushes over the years, BTW)
I looked around a lot, and finally settled on the Makita LS1016L. It's a little different in that it has two sets of short sliding rails instead of the one long set. It seems a little bit more rigid, and it overhangs the back of the bench by a lot less than the Hitachi did. I'm still getting used to it, but so far I like it a lot.

Great idea solves the issue of space behind the saw which is key in small shops. But like Jim says how will those joints wear over time is the key question.

Well rob, so far the "Reviews" are good.
Steve i have it on good authority that the reviews on this unit are excellent except it does not have a sexy name or yellow color.

Looks good. Maybe dust collection will be more efficient vs a slider.
