Welcome Steve, whats the purpose for the table, woodworking or is it gonna be for something more fancy.

You can get the catering type tressel table legs at the HD and just add them to 3/4 sheet of ply if you want something quick and nasty.

This type can also serve as a table to cut wood or other sheets up if you have a skill saw and lay the sheet goods on top. It all depends on the use.
    cheers

Lots of trestle table plans out there. Check out Norm's table on New Yankee Workshop. I have his book with the plans. I can copy them and send to you if you like.

i had an extra couple of minutes, and i put together this quick and rough version of a trestle table. it's very basic, and you can use it as a starting point for your own design ideas.
