    A chunk of Wood

I had a customer bring in a chunk of wood that has a figure in it.

He then explained that his brother and his nephew were cutting a tree down in the front yard which was rotten and ready to fall. During there cutting a car veered off the road and hit the boy killing him. Well this is the chunk of wood that was brought to me from that tree and I was asked to make it level so a galss top can be placed on it. It's coffee table high. We cleaned the inside and removed some of the crusty bark and I clear coated it.

I dream a lot. I do more painting when I'm not painting. It's in the subconscious.

Tough story. I hate hearing those.

    Man...what a sad story.
Personally, I would view that piece of wood and the table with mixed feelings.
You did a nice job getting it ready.

If not for the Heart shape I would have burned the tree. That mother of the boy though it was a way of God telling her He has everything in control. I like he thinking.
