    wood boiling

In lieu of steaming, Need to bend an end of a 3/4 X 5/8 piece of maple... Actually re-bend to a correct radius. As I don't have a steamer or the inclination to build one for this one task, I think boiling will get the job done, Now the question is "How Long" somewhere in my simple mind lingers "i hr per inch" is this relistic or correct? I boiled some 1/4" a while back ant it only took a few minutes. Is my hour per inch too long?

Got any resident experts out there?

I was thinking it would be pretty quick, just a few minutes. Why not try a sample piece or two?
