    Minniesotah

I just wanted to gloat a bit....I am headed to Minnesota walleye fishing!

....we were gonna head out tomorrow evening/friday morning.....but the better half seems to be having some kidney stone complications.

So, the doctor (also a avid fisherman) didn't want to see a good walleye trip go defunct....said if she didn't pass the stone tomorrow night, he'd blast it out of there with some laser surgery.

Wife is excited...she is going rock hunting with a friend and she doesn't want to miss out on her trip. I'm glad she doesn't want to miss out so I can still go fishing!

    Pics (hopefully) when I return.

....how big should a walleye be to consider adequate for a wall hanger?

    Have a great trip Steve!

Length of a wallhanger is up to you.....and depends where you fish. Some swear by 30" (a 10 lber) but I've seen great looking stringer mounts of 20" fish.

    Here's a length/weight calculator for you: http://www.duenorthoutposts.com/cont...-Weight_Chart/

Sounds like multiple trips to complete a stringer to me......

I've seen stringer mounts of perch and bluegills before, but a stringer mount of walleye I have never seen.....and would be a great addition to my wall.

    Good advice!

The hospital sent her a CD to take to the Dr. of her "stones" 177 pictures.....she sits and looks at the pics and says "glad they know what they are looking for, cause I don't see anything"

Don't worry Jonathan.....I'll omit sharing the pics.

    You know thats a given.

I'll be sure to take pics and maybe hold the camera at an advantageous angle to make my catch look larger....
