By George, I think I've got it!
And yes, I've still got room for the SC drill press, with a few minor changes. Sky hooks any one?

Sky hook

Don,
Where did you get your lift? While I don't have room in this shop, I do have room in the one in MO. Would sure beat having to start the tractor (which never wants to run when you need it) to lift things out of the truck.

Here you go Jim,
The guys who built my shop wanted over $3000 to put in a lift. I looked and thought about it for a long time. This Gantry Crane was $600 and is good for one ton. They charged me $60 shipping.
That big sucker just kinda disappears wrapped around my table saw/work table island. It rises to 12' high and I have a 12' overhead. I am thinking about replacing the top beam with a 24' I-beam and putting the legs against the walls. I would have my wall-to-wall skyhook for under $1200.
That trolley set on the top rail in the picture doesn't come with it. You will have to get one there at harbor freight. If you have one close enough to drive to, I would print that picture and make them give me one as advertised. They probably won't give you any problems. They are usually pretty good to deal with.

Hey Stu,
Do you keep those gi-raphs in the Dungeon so they can look through the hatch and see if anyone's coming?
