    Buying Rough Green Lumber

For the sake of discussion, let's say you have a nifty solar kiln....where do you buy rough *green* lumber? When I look at the price lists of local lumber yards, most of what they sell is KD.....?

    THANKS

You get it from folks like the guy who is gonna cut your maple trees for you. Many sawyers work for a portion of the wood they cut, and they often sell what they don't personally use.

Most of the mills in my neck of the woods sell rough cut. All the rough cut they sell is air dried. If it goes in the kiln it's going through the planer.
