My son and his silly friends build a tree fort

My middle son Adam is 16, and has a great group of buddies from his Football and Lacrosse teams whom he hangs out with.

I get a call yesterday afternoon, asking if they could use up some wood i had in and around the shop, things which were left over or surplus from various projects... I said sure, have fun, & be careful....

little did I know what was in store when I got home from work last night...

left to right: Brendan, Adam (my son) and Cavan...in their 'fort'.

Brendan decided that the little and badly weathered adirondack chair needed a new home...

    Adam up a tree....

oh, and this is the same group who will make midnight fridge raids, fire up the gas grill and make cheeseburgers for themselves. At least i don't' have to get up and cook for them.

Good for them Ned. looks like a pretty smart idea and a constructive use of their time. So do you get to use it too?

I love it, adam's never been one to do anything in the shop, but I'm happy he did this!

Now that REALLY is a "Hang Out"

Ned, look and sound like classy guys. Man you got to enjoy kids that have positive energy! When those three make a fridge raid, I bet the racks are bare!!

God and family, the rest is icing on the cake. I'm so far behind, I think I'm in first place!

Yeah, I'm not sure what position Brendan plays, but Adam's a D-lineman/Center and Cavan is on the D-line too, plus he plays basketball. Somehow I got tagged with the nickname 'Big Daddy Ned'
