back in the old days our school would charge for parts only, and a minimum fee which nothing in normal pricing. if todays schools would do some paying work it could help the budgets some i would think

Do not forget the society and litigations we live in. It is quite expensive if you can find an insurance company to insure your welding shop, let alone students doing the welding. We are the school's shop, we repair what we can and maintenance loves us. Some outside work is accepted, but we have a set number of projects to complete and the student's work comes first.
