    minor flood.....

    .....not so minor repair.
A water filter housing went bad. It is in my downstairs 'shop' area right next to my lathe. I always get a small amount of puddling from sweat in the summer so ignored the situation until it was so bad it couldn't be ignored.
Plumber is here cutting pipes, installing stuff, doing more flooding because pipes overhead are, of course, full of water.
Water soaked into finished part of downstairs. Carpet soaked and company is coming for a couple nights. Oh, joy. Wife is thrilled.
On top of that I called wrong plumber. Called my regular guys brother, they are competitors and not on friendly terms. Same last name in phone book. Oh, well.

That's never fun, nor does it ever happen at a more convenient time. Hope all turns out well.

Could have been worse. Thank goodness for the wet/dry shop vac.
