While moving stuff around to clean up the shop after my mini-flood, I found a box with some wood pieces in it. I really don't remember the box at all but the contents were some really delicious pieces of spalted dunno wood. The label said it was sent to me by Chuck Thoits in December of '08. Thanks, Chuck, sorry it got buried and not used. Guarantee, it will be soon.
Actually, it may be fortuitous good fortune it got buried until now. This wood is a perfect candidate for stabilizing. I'll cut the big pieces into pen blanks and stable it all. Certainly should make some nice looking pens.

Congrats on the find. Lucky you.

I only find crap when I clean up my place.

Nice stuff Frank, the one on the left will make some exceptional pen blanks:thumb:

Yep! Same here.:(

You guys clean your shop... is that allowed???:rofl::rofl:

I'm having an art club meeting in my shop next month... think I'm going to have to get in there with some kind of blower to get all the dust out... it'll probably look a tornado when I get all that dust stirred up

That's a great find there Frank... definitely beautiful wood.
