    Who doesn't love this quality of work?

    My dear LOML and I just got back from a little trip to New England. We spent most of a day at Hancock Shaker Village. They have pieces there on display that you can get right up to. You could touch it, but I didn't. All I can say is that the hand work was just sublime. Here are some pictures.

    It's a great place There is a Shaker Village up here in Canterbury NH. Not quite as good as Hancock.

    Neat.
    I'm not a Neander but almost had palpitations just looking at all those old tools and things. I like old things. Must be why I'm keeping my wife.

    The Shaker folk certainly had a grasp on simplicity. That did not mean there was no design though when you jus look at the round table.

    How is that bench. Bet old Chris Schwarz would be happy as a lark seeing that leg vice etc.
