new bell

Here's a bell i did this AM. It's ebany and holly. The holly was just a cut off of a piece i used a while back, and i was gonna throw it away.but after looking at some that Kirt Fuller did, decided to try enother one. It's 4 1/4 long and the stick pin (i hope) gives you something to gage it buy.

Very interesting the way you made the bell. The finial is nice, but I imagine there was quite a bit of hand work involved in sanding and polishing the "flutes" on the bell? Very cool... :thumb:

Ahhh you put me to shame. WOW really nice. I go back to the drawing board.
Na just found me a nice chunk of wood.

Ha!!! that's fantastic:thumb::thumb:!! What are the dimensions Steve?
It's 4 1/4 long by 13/16 at the widest point, and 1/8 or so at the smallest. I'll add a pic sitting in my hand at the end of this post. the pic is a little blurry but you'll get a idea.;)

Very nicely done Steve.
Should make a great conversation peice.
