    Use of Induction Motors in the Home Workshop

    Maybe a bit off topic but I think the following link may be of interest to some of you across the pond.
    It's a paper written by one of our UKWorshop Forum members --RC Minchin---as guidance for the members. Primarily referring to our 50HZ mains but relevant to and containing reference to your 60HZ motors where appropriate.

    Chas, I glanced at it and it looks very complete I you don't mind I will diplicate or move your post to general woodworking so the flat worker can benefit from it also.

    No problem Don, I think all the theory is relevant, just the distribution voltages that are different for most of you I suspect.
