    Halloween Pen

I just wanted to post this because it is the season and of the many pens I have made this is one of the top ten I am most proud of. I made this two years ago for a little fun Halloween contest another forum was having. I won. I think there were probably only 5 or 6 entries but it is about the only contest I have ever won. The only rule was it had to be orange and black. I made this by gluing pieces of black drain pipe together until I had a piece thick enough to make a pen. I scroll sawed the bats and than filled them with epoxy mixed with orange paint. One side has 2 bats at the bottom, one on top and the other side has 2 bats on top and one on the bottom. My daughter grabbed the pen when visiting and I haven't seen it since.

Wow Paul, that is just plain cool

Looks like a lot of work, but man is that cool!

    Very nicely done Paul!
I would probably go "Batty" trying something like that.

No wonder it won the contest. That pen screams of Halloween.

I was thinking darn near the same thing that Vaughn said. "No wonder you won the contest, that is just amazing, outrageous, batty, etc!!!!" Great job on that pen!!!
